KATHMANDU – Renowned singer Ashra Kunwar has been honored with the Best Female Pop Singer award at the prestigious 13th MusicKhabar Music Award-2082 for her hit song “Itihaas Timro Mero”.

Competing in the highly competitive pop category, Kunwar secured the top spot by edging out prominent fellow nominees Durga Kharel, Samikshya Adhikari, Babina Kiranti, and Elina Chauhan. Already a fan-favorite among listeners, “Itihaas Timro Mero” has now officially added a major domestic music accolade to its name.

Following her big win, Kunwar took to social media to express her gratitude and shared the emotional inspiration behind the track. She revealed that “Itihaas Timro Mero” was deeply inspired by the real-life love story of her parents. She dedicated the prestigious award to her family, her core production team, and her supportive listeners.
A Star-Studded Gala in Baluwatar
The 13th edition of the MusicKhabar Music Award was held in Baluwatar, Kathmandu, under the central theme: “Honoring the Seniors, Encouraging the Juniors.”

The grand event celebrated outstanding musical talent by distributing awards across 33 diverse categories. A major highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to veteran Nepalese composer and musician Shambhujit Baskota for his immense contribution to the industry.
