Deuba Faction Claims Nepali Congress Legitimacy

Kathmandu. Sher Bahadur Deuba faction of the Nepali Congress has submitted documents to the Election Commission, claiming to be the party’s legitimate leadership. A team led by Acting President Purna Bahadur Khadka reached the Commission on Wednesday to file the documents. Kathmandu: Nepal Police has opened applications to recruit 133,980 election police personnel to ensure safe, fair, and peaceful elections. The Human Resource Development Department of Nepal Police Headquarters said applications will be accepted from Friday until Magh 1, including public holidays. Kathmandu: Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Kulman Ghising has resigned from his post. He submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Sushila Karki earlier on Monday, following which the Prime Minister formally bid him farewell.
