KATHMANDU, Sept 27 — Prayashna Gurung was crowned Miss Universe Nepal 2026 in a grand finale held at The Soaltee Kathmandu on Sunday evening, triumphing over 14 other finalists. With this victory, she will represent Nepal at the upcoming international Miss Universe pageant.
Overwhelmed with emotion, Gurung broke into tears on stage as her name was announced as the winner. The emotional moment became one of the key highlights of the ceremony as she received the crown amidst applause from the audience and judges.
The grand finale featured Bollywood actress and former Miss Universe India Celina Jaitly as the chief judge.
Along with Gurung’s title victory, Binita Oli was named first runner-up, while Ambika Rana secured the second runner-up position. Following her victory, Gurung expressed her commitment to proudly represent Nepal on the global stage.
