9th NVA Women and Men Volleyball Championship

Kathmandu, January 3, 2026 – Help Nepal Sports Club and New Diamond Sports Club emerged victorious in the men’s and women’s categories, respectively, at the concluding finals of the 9th NVA Women and Men Volleyball Championship held at the National Sports Council’s covered hall in Tripureshwar.


In the men’s final, Help Nepal Sports Club defended their title with a dominant straight-sets victory over Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC). The unbeaten Help Nepal showcased superior coordination and attacking prowess to claim their back-to-back championship.


The women’s final saw New Diamond Sports Club end a four-year title drought by sweeping defending champions Nepal Police Club (NPC) . Boosted by the return of star outside-hitter Pratibha Mali and coached by legendary Kumar Rai, New Diamond delivered a commanding performance to secure their second national title.


Third-place finishes went to Armed Police Force (APF) Club in the women’s category, who defeated TAC , and Nepal Police Club in the men’s, who edged Rukum Paschim Training Centre in a thrilling five-set match.


The tournament, organized by the Nepal Volleyball Association (NVA), kicked off on December 26, 2025, and featured intense competition among club and departmental teams. Both champions celebrated with trophies and cash prizes amid enthusiastic crowds.
This edition highlighted the growing depth in Nepali volleyball, setting the stage for upcoming national leagues and international preparations.
