The third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) will feature the Decision Review System (DRS) for the first time, with the tournament scheduled to take place from October 26 to November 21, 2026, at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.
Alongside the introduction of DRS, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has revised the match schedule, particularly the start times for days featuring two matches.
On double-header days, the first match will begin at 12:30 PM, while the second match is scheduled to start at 5:00 PM. On days with only one match, the game will begin at 5:00 PM.
DRS will allow teams to challenge on-field umpiring decisions, including LBW calls, run-outs and stumpings. Ball-tracking technology will assist in reviewing LBW decisions, while other technologies will help assess whether the ball has made contact with the bat.
The third edition of the NPL will feature eight franchise teams, with defending champions Lumbini Lions scheduled to face Sudurpaschim Royals in the opening match. The final is set for November 21, 2026
